Seasons of Seva – Touching Lives, One Offering at a Time

"In every season, compassion takes a new form."

In the peak of summer, when the ground burns and the air offers no relief, Dev Foundation stepped forward to ease the suffering of those most exposed — the homeless, street vendors, and wandering sadhus. Volunteers distributed sturdy rubber slippers to protect their feet from the blistering heat of city streets and dusty paths.

For many sadhus who walk barefoot as a part of their spiritual path, the harsh summer heat can cause painful burns and blisters. This small act of care brought not only physical relief but also a reminder that their silent service and renunciation are seen, honored, and supported by the community.

Summer of Shade – Umbrella & Slipper Donation Drive

"When the sun scorches, let compassion cover."

Mornings of Dignity – Breakfast Seva

"Begin someone’s day with warmth—not just food."

Every weekend morning, the Dev Foundation team rises early to prepare and distribute fresh, sattvic breakfasts to roadside dwellers, temple-goers, and residents of old-age homes. For many, it’s not just nourishment—it’s the first smile, the first human connection, and the first act of care they receive that day.

In addition to breakfast seva, we also run a mid-day school lunch program at selected under-resourced schools—ensuring that children don’t have to learn on an empty stomach. Across various locations, these humble meals are restoring dignity, focus, and strength—one plate at a time.

Feeding the Soul – Midday Food Donation Camps

"Annadaan is Mahadaan – the greatest of all offerings."

Every month, Dev Foundation organizes community food drives, serving hot, freshly prepared meals to those in need — including migrant workers, sadhus, daily-wage laborers, and families in slum communities. These meals offer more than sustenance; they bring a sense of dignity, care, and peace that words often cannot express.

One of our most heartfelt drives takes place at the sacred foothills of Arunachala, where we offer meals to wandering sadhus and spiritual seekers who have renounced worldly comforts. Feeding them is not just seva — it is a sacred offering to the living spirit of renunciation and silence. Each plate served here is an offering to Arunachala itself.

Winter of Warmth – Blanket Donation Drive

"Let no one shiver under the stars."

When winter settles in and the night air bites, the cold becomes more than discomfort — it becomes suffering. This winter, Dev Foundation launched a mission of compassion, walking through silent lanes, dimly lit bus stops, temple courtyards, and roadside shelters. Our volunteers reached out to those most forgotten — homeless souls, wandering sadhus, and elders left alone under open skies. Wrapped in silence and gratitude, over 1 lakh blankets were offered—not just as protection, but as a message: You are not alone.

For the sadhu walking barefoot in surrender, for the old man curled up at a temple gate, and for the mother holding her child close on a cold pavement—these blankets became more than fabric. They were warmth, dignity, and care. They were hope in the dark. In every blanket we gave, we wrapped a prayer — that no one should endure the chill of winter without love around them.

What Makes It Unique –
Our “Season of Seva” Model

Each donation drive is planned according to seasonal need, inspired by the simple question:

With every donation, you’re not just giving—you’re walking the path of dharma. You’re not just helping—you’re healing.
